Grays & Torreys Peaks Summit Ascent

Full Day | INTERMEDIATE to Expert | 1-5 People

Journey to the very top of the Continental Divide to climb the twin 14,000' Grays and Torreys Peaks. Located only a 1-hour drive form Denver, Grays and Torreys are some of the easiest accessed 14ers in the state and with a mere 3/4 of a mile separating the summits they are most often climbed together in a single push. Do not let this tempt you into thinking they are without challenge, the simplest route clocks in at 9 miles with 3000' of climbing to reach both summits. For those who thirst for even more vertical challenge, the Kelso Ridge and Dead Dog Couloirs offer true technical mountaineering routes that will test your climbing skills. However you decide to get there the reward of standing atop of these two summits is well worth the effort.
